Casting alloys
Walcownia Metali Nieznych “ŁABĘDY” offers casting alloys such as foundry brasses, foundry bronzes and ingots made of copper and copper alloys. All casting alloys are manufactured in accordance with PN, EN, DIN standards and individual requirements specified by the contractor.
WHAT IS THIS
Casting bronzes
These are multi-component alloys containing tin and such elements as: zinc, aluminum, lead and phosphorus.
Foundry bronzes are characterized by a granular structure. As in the case of foundry brass, they are resistant to corrosion and abrasion, as well as excellent castability and machinability.
Foundry bronzes are subdivided as follows:
aluminum-iron bronze – BA93 (CuAl9Fe3),
aluminum-iron-manganese bronze – BA1032 (CuAl10Fe3Mn2),
tin bronze – B10 (CuSn10),
tin-phosphor bronze – B101 (CuSn10P),
tin-zinc bronze – B102 (CuSn10Zn2),
tin-lead bronze – B1010 (CuSn10Pb10) and B520 (CuSn5Pb20),
tin-zinc-lead bronze B555 (CuSn5Zn5Pb5), B663 (CuSn6ZnPb3) and B476 (CuSn4Zn7Pb6),
silicon-zinc-manganese bronze – BK331 (CuSi3Zn3Mn).
As in the case of plastic working bronzes, they are used in the chemical, electromechanical, automotive and electrical industries.
WHAT IS THIS
Casting brass
These are multi-component alloys that contain numerous alloying elements that deteriorate plastic properties, but in turn improve strength and technological properties (e.g. castability, machinability). They are usually two-phase + ‘and are characterized by a high content of Zn and other additives.
Casting brasses offered by our company are resistant to abrasion, corrosion, cavitation and elevated temperatures up to 230 degrees Celsius). They are used in the chemical, construction, shipbuilding and communication industries as ship screws, bearings, fittings and machine parts.
